On Bubbles and Nerd Birthdays

So...Saturday night was spent blowing bubbles at the Andersons' house. That's right, folks. Adult people were blowing bubbles. I can't tell you how much fun it was! If more people would spend time together blowing bubbles, what a wonderful world this would be! We could have chosen to watch tv, or go bowling, or downed shots of tequila, but NO! We chose to blow bubbles, and as a result, we are all better friends. Because let's face it, you have to be good friends to sit together in a room and blow bubbles for an hour.
The other activity of choice? As Joey so eloquently put it, parlor games. We weren't really in the parlor. We sat at the kitchen table and played the timeless game of racing and treachery: Aggravation. We can't go to the Andersons' without playing it. It's quality time spent rolling dice, moving marbles, pouting, shouting, stabbing backs and pissing each other off in general. It is the best game in the world.
January 1st was Cam's birthday. We went out to lunch, did some shopping, saw I Am Legend (pretty good flick), went to dinner, then went home and watched a nerd movie. I won't mention the movie because I don't want to admit to anyone that I watched it, but it involved the Borg, warp speed, earth and that guy from Reading Rainbow. Crap. Now you know. Anyway, Happy Birthday to Cam, the love of my life!!
